On Saturday, March 11th, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. the ACLU of Alabama is hosting their annual Werk the Lege teach-in at The Sanctuary in Montgomery, Alabama. This year, ACLU IS hosting Werk the Lege a little differently and inviting folks from across the state to engage in a full day of shared learning about Alabama's political landscape.
As part of this shared learning experience, they will center on the work and expertise of organizers and advocates who are leading the fight in the areas of criminal justice reform, voting rights and gender justice. They have invited leaders in these respective areas to join them as co-facilitators of some breakout sessions and will also be uplifting the coalition's important work so that attendees can learn more. Food and refreshments will be provided at the event.
